Ropex Engineering Kft. was founded in 2024 in Hungary. Ropex Engineering stands for the highest precision and expertise in rope replacement for high-performance lifts. With many years of experience, technical know-how, and state-of-the-art equipment, we ensure that every lift system operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Each rope replacement is personally planned by the experts, carefully documented, and carried out according to the strictest quality standards – ensuring maximum safety and long-lasting performance.
Our Team
Michael Eibel
Managing Director
Michael Eibel is an experienced Austrian lift technician with over 20 years in the industry, including leadership roles in global companies. He has extensive expertise in planning, project management, and installation of lift systems, with significant international experience, particularly with lifts in Asia.
Michael combines practical know-how with the highest quality standards. His degree in Lift Engineering from the University of Northampton, along with his deep expertise in wire ropes, make him a recognised specialist in complex lift technology.
Erich Spirgi
Business Partner
Erich Spirgi is an experienced Swiss engineer based in Hong Kong, with over 25 years of experience in the electrical and lift (E&E) industry across Asia and Europe. He has served as a development engineer and team leader, gaining extensive expertise in lift engineering.
Erich completed an EMBA at Western University (Ivey) in London, Ontario, and has developed a passion for solving complex technical and commercial challenges in high-rise buildings. His combination of technical expertise, international experience, and strategic thinking makes him a recognised expert in lift engineering.
